A cruise along Dubai’s coastline, a table overlooking the Arabian Gulf, and an afternoon with no reason to hurry. As the new season begins, J1 Beach brings these pleasures together, giving yacht owners and their guests a destination worth planning a day on the water around.
Located in Jumeirah 1, J1 Beach connects beachfront dining, beach-club experiences and evening entertainment with arrival by sea. D-Marin, the exclusive operator of J1 Beach Anchorage, welcomes visiting yachts through a dedicated offshore anchorage and tender service, bringing guests ashore to discover the destination’s restaurants and beach clubs.
The experience begins offshore. With a restaurant reservation and anchorage arrangements secured in advance, visiting yachts can anchor in the designated J1 Beach Anchorage Zone.
D-Marin’s dedicated tender service is central to the experience, welcoming owners and guests aboard for a transfer from their yachts directly to the J1 Beach jetty. Guests can step ashore without needing to launch their yacht’s own tender or organise a separate transfer, making lunch, sunset drinks or dinner a convenient part of a day on the water.
For captains, the service provides a dedicated team with whom to coordinate guest transfers. For owners and their guests, it means the welcome begins before they reach the beach, with D-Marin taking care of the connection between yacht and shore.
Anchorage is complimentary for guests holding a valid restaurant reservation, with an anchorage permit required before arrival. Coordinate arrival times, tender requirements and your planned return to the yacht with D-Marin in advance, whether the occasion is lunch with friends or an evening reservation.
The appeal of J1 Beach lies in the variety within one stretch of coastline. Its restaurants bring distinct culinary identities and atmospheres, inviting guests to return with a different occasion in mind.
Gigi Rigolatto brings an Italian beach-house sensibility to Dubai, with garden dining, a private beach, pool and Bellini Bar. Italian cooking anchors the experience, while live music and spaces to linger give lunch the potential to become an afternoon by the sea.
At African Queen, the influence is the French Riviera. Seafood, grilled meats and Mediterranean flavours sit alongside a beach and pool setting, making it an inviting choice for a leisurely meal or a more sociable weekend gathering.
Sirene Beach by GAIA draws on Greek-Mediterranean cuisine, with seafood, seasonal ingredients and a coastal setting that extends from the restaurant to the beach, pool and lounge. It offers several ways to spend time ashore, from lunch to drinks accompanied by music as the light changes.
For guests drawn to a livelier atmosphere, Bâoli Dubai combines coastal French-Mediterranean flavours with Japanese influences. Its restaurant, Sunset Lounge and Moon Room create a destination where dining and nightlife share the same address.
Gitano brings modern Mexican cooking and the spirit of Tulum to J1 Beach. Mezcal cocktails, tropical surroundings and a programme of brunches and evening gatherings give it a distinctive place in the destination’s social calendar.
At Sakhalin, seafood takes centre stage. Mediterranean and Asian influences shape the menu, offering a dining-focused option for guests who want their time ashore to revolve around the table.
The season offers plenty of reasons to plan a return visit. African Queen’s Call of the Jungle Saturday brunch combines dining with DJs and live entertainment, while House of Bâoli gives Sundays their own social rhythm.
At Gitano, Saturdays offer a choice between the afternoon Day Fiesta and Ceremonia night brunch. Midweek plans have their place too, with Bâoli Circle on Tuesdays and Gitano’s Las Reinas on Thursdays. Sirene’s sunset and music experiences add another dimension to a visit timed around the evening light.
For yacht owners, this variety makes J1 Beach a Dock & Dine destination to revisit throughout the season: an Italian lunch on one outing, a seafood dinner on another, or a weekend gathering built around music and time with friends.
