From 12 to 13 June, spectators can celebrate the wonder of this high-seas race from the marina and surrounding area, with a mixture of thrilling sailing and vibrant events, concluding with a grand prize-giving ceremony. Marina Gouvia is proud to be hosting the event and looks forward to welcoming competing athletes, sailing enthusiasts, and guests to the island of Corfu.
To mark the prestigious occasion, Gouvia Marina has planned a schedule of entertainment which celebrates the local culture. On 12 June, see an enthralling performance of traditional dances by the Dance Club of Corfu, followed by a concert from the Philharmonic Society of Corfu and a serenading from Corfiot baritone, Pantelis Kontos. A classic car show, exhibiting some of history’s finest motors, will be hosted in the marina on both days.
On 13 June, a grand awards ceremony will take place, recognising the achievements of the athletes taking part in this technically challenging regatta. The awards presentation will include an array of food and drink unique to the region and an after-party with a dance group and DJ.
