Camille Rayon, France

May 11 - May 11, 2026
Start in:47 days
A new edition of Biodiversity Day will take place on May 11 at D Marin Port Camille Rayon, aimed at two CM1/CM2 classes from the local Gachon school. A day dedicated to fun learning and discovery.
For 10 years, the port's commitment to raising awareness among young people has been part of its "Active Clean Port for Biodiversity" certification program, validated in 2017 and renewed in January 2026.
For this event, the port is partnering with two scientific organizations. Ecocan will deploy an educator and a diver for a major marine species identification game (focusing on Posidonia seagrass meadows) and a workshop observing biohuts installed at the port.
With the Mer Méditerranée 2000 association, schoolchildren will visit the biodiversity gardens (featuring typical Alpes-Maritimes native species) and learn about waste recycling.
This day is one of many environmental initiatives led by the port. Coming soon: a special cleanup with boaters and port divers to collect waste from the rocky breakwaters.
