The Carnival Race 420 and 470

"The Carnival Race" returns this year for the 420 and 470 classes, one of the most prestigious competitions worldwide for the 420 class. The event will take place at Marina degli Aregai in Santo Stefano al Mare from February 20 to 23, organized by the Yacht Club Sanremo, which will oversee both onshore and offshore activities.

A total of 200 crews from 13 European nations will compete, bringing approximately 600 participants, including athletes and coaches. Featuring the best young sailors in Europe, the regatta will transform Marina degli Aregai into a true celebration of sport and passion, thanks to the invaluable collaboration of the D-Marin group, a leader in Mediterranean marina management.

The Yacht Club Sanremo crews, competing with eight teams representing the club, are preparing to give their best in these intense races. The competition will feature three categories: 420 Men & Mixed, 420 Women, and 470, promising thrilling challenges for all participants.

For four days, 400 young athletes will race in the waters of the Riviera, a unique location in Europe with ideal weather conditions for international regattas held throughout the year.
