Every Journey Shapes The Future

“My journey with D-Marin began at D-Marin San Lorenzo. I joined with enthusiasm and curiosity right after graduating, taking on the role of Customer Experience & Front Office Representative, without realizing how quickly this experience would shape my professional path.

From the very beginning, I received strong support from my managers in a concrete growth journey, which led me to become involved in the construction project of the Livorno marina. A few months ago, I relocated there, where I now hold the position of Front Office & Customer Experience Manager.

Being part of the D-Marin Livorno project has been a unique opportunity: contributing to the creation of a new marina, building new commercial relationships, welcoming the first customers, and seeing a project take shape day by day thanks to the team’s work.

What I appreciate most about D-Marin is the trust given to people and the genuine opportunity to grow by demonstrating commitment, responsibility, and initiative.

I truly believe that the Marin-UP Graduate Program helps young professionals build confidence, take on responsibilities earlier, and develop both technical and leadership skills more effectively. The program represents a strong bridge between academic knowledge and real-world experience, enabling participants to reach their full potential faster and seize opportunities that allow them to “sail far.”

"Looking back a few years ago, working in different parts of the business was one of the most valuable experiences of my career. I actually started at the marina's Front Office, which I believe is the heart of the marina. Working closely with our operational teams—our sailors and electricians, who are the first people to welcome and assist our clients every day—gave me firsthand insight into the operational challenges our customers face and the importance of delivering an exceptional customer experience. That experience helped me understand how every function contributes to the success of the business and gave me the confidence to grow into new opportunities. Marin-Up will give young professionals that same head start, helping them navigate the organization, broaden their perspective, and build their careers much faster than by following a traditional path. I look forward to working alongside some of our future graduates on projects across the business, sharing my own journey and learning from the fresh perspectives they will undoubtedly bring."

I started my journey with Marina Tribunj in 2003 as a young Front Office employee.

At that time, there were no structured training programs—only my curiosity, a strong desire to learn, and a genuine passion for making every guest feel welcome and ensuring they would want to return.

Over the years, I embraced every opportunity to grow, learn from my colleagues, and take on new challenges. Through dedication, hard work, and continuous learning, I progressed from a Front Office Representative to Head of front office to my current role as Marina Sales Manager.

Looking back on the past 23 years, I can honestly say that D-Marin has given me the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally. It has been a journey of continuous learning, teamwork, and building lasting relationships with our guests and colleagues.

That is why I truly believe the Marin-UP Graduate Program is a fantastic initiative. It gives ambitious young people something many of us didn't have when we started—a structured environment, clear development opportunities, mentorship, and the confidence to grow.
