2nd DOST (Didim Offshore Sportfishing Tournament) Started
The second of the Didim Offshore Sportfishing Tournament, which set out with the slogan "Bigger, Stronger and More Exciting", took place. Hosted by D-Marin Didim, the race witnessed a great struggle and left its mark on the season with a 260.8 kg giant tuna.
D-Marin Didim and DOST (Didim Offshore Sportfishing Tournament) brought sporty and amateur fishing enthusiasts together. The second of the Didim Offshore Sportfishing Tournament, which is anticipated with enthusiasm every year, was held between 20-23 August 2020 in the Gulf of Güllük, with the main sponsorship and hosting of D-Marin Didim.
The biggest fish of the tournament, the giant blue wing tuna weighing 260.8 kg was kept by the boat “Shamu” / Sinan Kuran and his team. The winner of the tournament was the boat “Dorado” / Turgut Konukoğlu and his team. The boat “Barbarossa” / Bülent Delican and his team won the second place of the tournament, while the boat “MGS” / Mr. Murat Gürsoy and his team won the D-Marin Didim special award.
The winner of the Catch & Release category, which is the biggest prize of the tournament, was the boat “Çikotya” / Vahap Kavlak and his team, that released a 160 cm long blue wing tuna back into the water in a healthy way.
The winner of the Biggest Fish Category was awarded by 6-month free berthing. The winner of the tournament was awarded by 6-month free berthing. The winner of Catch & Release category was awarded by a 9-month free berthing which was the biggest award of the tournament
