D-Marin, the selection of premium marinas, is revealing the first look of Marina Livorno in Italy, a project set to transform the heart of the Tuscan coast through sustainability, innovation, and seamless integration with the city.
Developed in collaboration with the Azimut|Benetti Group, construction began in September 2025 and is progressing rapidly, with completion planned for autumn 2027.
Marina Livorno is a key milestone in D-Marin’s growth in Italy, enhancing its presence alongside Punta Faro, Marina di Varazze, Porto Mirabello, Marina degli Aregai, and Marina di San Lorenzo. Positioned at the entrance to Tuscany, the islands, and the Corsican coast, it will offer a premium new starting point for the Mediterranean.
A sustainable landmark for Livorno
Designed by Florence-based studio Archea Associati, the €20 million project embraces a circular, low-impact approach. Solar canopies, rainwater recovery systems, green walls, and natural landscape elements replace traditional fencing to create a marina that blends naturally into its surroundings. These initiatives reinforce D-Marin’s commitment to responsible marina management, recently recognised with the EcoVadis Gold Award for ESG performance.
Smart, premium, and ready to welcome guests
Once complete, Marina Livorno will host 815 berths for yachts from 15 to 80 meters, with the first 336 berths becoming operational in 2026. Guests will enjoy 24/7 security, concierge support, refined dining, curated retail, and the full suite of D-Marin digital services, including smart pedestals with real-time consumption tracking and remote monitoring through the D-Marin App. Marina Livorno will also be included in the “Happy Berth Days” loyalty programme, offering guests a complimentary seven-day stay across D-Marin's selection of premium marinas.
“Marina Livorno reflects our belief that premium yachting and environmental responsibility can and must advance together,” says Andrea De Santis, Chief Operating Officer of D-Marin. “This marina has been designed not only for boaters, but for the entire Livorno community, a place where innovation, sustainability, and the spirit of the city meet.”
A new connection between Livorno and the sea
Beyond the marina itself, the project restores the city’s historic relationship with the water. The Bacino Piccolo will become a lively water square, while Molo Mediceo will open to all citizens with public docks, leisure areas, green spaces, dedicated parking space and an extended waterfront promenade reaching into the heart of the old port. Improved access roads and traffic flow will keep the swing bridge open more often, ensuring easier access for residents and visitors alike.
Marina Livorno marks a new chapter in D-Marin’s journey to elevate the Mediterranean yachting experience, one where digitalisation, sustainability, and community connection come together to create a marina that truly feels like yachting should feel.
