D-Marin Gouvia and D-Marin Lefkas received the Blue Flag Quality Award

June, 5

The Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature (HSPN), National Operator of the International Program "Blue Flag" in our country, announced the awards for beaches, marinas and tourism boats. With 497 awarded beaches, 14 marinas and 6 tourism boats, Greece ranks 2nd among 47 countries. It is worth mentioning that this year, with a total 47 countries that took part in the Program, Greece owned 13% of total awarded coasts.

Having reached the fourth decade of which the Program operates in our country, Blue Flags will wave once again this year on the Greek beaches, as a reward of the excellent water quality and high standard services offered to bathers, together with ensured hygiene  that strictly follows the principles of Public Health.

D-Marin Gouvia and Lefkas marina participate in this program every year and are constantly awarded since they successfully meet high standards of the criteria in four main categories: water quality, environmental management, environmental education and safety. After all, it is the least we can do to help nature and the environment in our country.
