D-Marin joins the WWF project and adopts sea animals

March, 11

As a socially responsible company, D-Marin Group has become involved in a World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) project, focusing on maintaining natural balance, fighting against wildlife crime and raising awareness about the importance of its cohabitation with humans.

The Group, or to be more precise, the Mandalina, Tribunj, Dalmacija and Borik marinas located in Croatia, have now become proud adopters of a playful dolphin, while Greek marinas Gouvia, Lefkas and Zea adopted a sea turtle.

The symbolic adoption represents a show of support for the work that WWF does, and the scientific projects focused on observing animal behavior and the health of marine animal populations. By adopting a dolphin and a sea turtle, we are supporting projects in sustainable fishing, minimizing the number of creatures caught accidentally, as well as other activities concerning the Adriatic.

WWF is continually working to establish protected marine areas to ensure that dolphins and other mammals have a safe place to feed, breed and move freely, which is why we are delighted to be part of this wonderful sea story.

D-Marin marinas in Turkey have also contributed to the preservation of the environment by taking care of the beach, as they will regularly clean the beach on the island of Yassicalar.
