D-Marin, the selection of premium marinas, is strengthening its superyacht presence in Italy, with Marina Livorno now welcoming superyachts alongside the recent additions of Marina di Olbia and Molo Brin in Sardinia. For customers, this means greater choice and flexibility across some of the region’s most sought-after cruising grounds, supported by the same focus on premium service, hospitality and smart technology they expect from D-Marin. By bringing these destinations closer together, D-Marin can provide owners, captains and industry partners with a more seamless experience wherever they choose to cruise.
Announced at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show, taking place from 1–6 October, the developments reinforce Italy as D-Marin’s largest regional market. Since 2023, D-Marin has expanded its Italian portfolio eightfold, from one marina to eight destinations, reflecting the Group’s wider strategy to create a growing portfolio of premium destinations across mainland Italy, Sardinia and the French Riviera.
At the heart of the announcement is D-Marin Livorno, now welcoming superyachts at its dedicated Mediceo Pontoon, which accommodates vessels up to 80 metres. Positioned within Tuscany’s principal maritime gateway and adjacent to a world-class ecosystem of shipyards and yacht services, the marina strengthens D-Marin’s presence along a key Western Mediterranean cruising route.
Marina Livorno is being delivered in phases, with Phase I already complete, including 150 berths for yachts up to 14 metres and more than 400 berths within the inner basin. The first delivery of the superyacht marina is scheduled by the end of 2026, with full completion planned by the end of 2027. The project also draws on D-Marin’s in-house marina development expertise, ESG principles and advanced design within the historic Porto Mediceo, alongside the iconic Fortezza Vecchia.
The development combines premium infrastructure with 24/7 security, concierge support, retail and dining facilities, alongside D-Marin’s digital services, including Smart Pedestals and remote monitoring through the D-Marin App.
Andrea De Santis, COO, D-Marin, said: “The opening of D-Marin Livorno to superyachts marks another important step in the growth of our Italian portfolio and our wider presence across the Mediterranean. As we continue to expand our presence in key cruising destinations, our focus remains on delivering the consistent quality of service, hospitality and technology our customers expect from D-Marin.”
D-Marin’s presence in northern Sardinia has also been significantly strengthened through the addition of Marina di Olbia and Molo Brin.
Marina di Olbia offers 270 berths for vessels up to 150 metres and features a 200-metre fuel dock capable of serving up to seven yachts simultaneously. Located just minutes from Olbia Costa Smeralda International Airport and the city centre, it provides convenient access to Costa Smeralda, Tavolara, the La Maddalena Archipelago and nearby Corsica.
Meanwhile, Molo Brin, which is scheduled for full opening in June 2027 and has already welcomed several superyachts during summer 2026, will accommodate yachts up to 145 metres in the heart of Olbia. Together, Marina di Olbia and Molo Brin create a significant superyacht hub at one of the Mediterranean’s most established yachting gateways.
The wider portfolio is complemented by Porto Mirabello in La Spezia, accommodating yachts up to 135 metres, and Camille Rayon on the Côte d’Azur, accommodating yachts up to 75 metres, and Palma Cuarentena in Mallorca, which offers 70 berths for yachts up to 70 metres.
Together, these destinations create what D-Marin has previously described as a Mediterranean ‘Golden Triangle’, connecting the Balearic Islands, Sardinia, mainland Italy and the French Riviera giving owners and captains access to some of the Western Mediterranean’s most important cruising destinations and superyacht gateways.
Across its marinas, D-Marin’s integrated digital ecosystem including the D-Marin App, Smart Pedestals and Smart Sensors helps customers manage their berth and vessel more seamlessly while supporting marina teams in delivering personalised service. Annual berth holders can also access Happy Berth Days, which offers eligible customers complimentary berthing across participating D-Marin destinations, subject to programme terms and conditions.
D-Marin now operates 28 marinas across nine countries, with Italy representing its largest regional portfolio. Its expansion from one Italian marina in 2023 to eight today reflects the Group’s continued investment in creating a connected selection of premium destinations and enriching the yachting experience across the Mediterranean.
