Sustainable Marinas for today's and future generations 

PROTECT THE SEA & OUR MARINAS’ ENVIRONMENTS

The health of our seas is of critical importance to help preserve it for future generations. D-Marin has a deep affinity with the well-being of our planet’s marine environment and we are passionate about doing all we can to protect it. 

Our programs include: 

  • Volunteering work on cleaning beaches/seabed;
  • WWF adoption of sea animals;
  • Oil spill equipment and oil spill response training;
  • Customer Awareness on sustainable yachting practices + procurement policy;
  • Blue flag + TYHA Clean Flag accreditation

RECYCLE RESPONSIBLY TO REDUCE WASTE PRODUCED IN OUR MARINAS

Being aware and actively encouraging recycling to help reduce waste and climate change is an important part of the circular economy and an issue which D-Marin is committed to.  We will lead by example and encourage others do so as well. 

Our programs include: 

  • Waste management practices (recycling, hazardous waste, waste waters, water from boat washing activity);
  • Upcycling program of old sails (in cooperation with Salty Bag)

INVEST IN CLEAN ENERGY THROUGHOUT OUR MARINAS

We are investing heavily in clean energy programmes across  our marinas. We are on a journey to switching to more sustainable clean energy sources such as solar & wind which we will do through investment, innovation, partnerships and collaboration. 

Our programs include: 

  • Renewable energy (solar power) investment & upgrading of equipment (smart pillars);
  • Use of Electric cars, scooters and bikes;
  • Calculation of carbon footprint (all 3 scopes) and SBTi commitment;

PROMOTE WELL-BEING FOR OUR PEOPLE AND OUR CUSTOMERS

We will behave mindfully and considerately at all times – setting ourselves the highest standards of how we look after our teams, our customers, our partners and our communities. 

Our programs include: 

  • Customer Survey (NPS)
  • Employees survey (eNPS) to review satisfaction, needs and expectations
  • HSE management system in place (ISO 45001 / 14001) as a group
  • Hotline linked with our Code of Ethics
  • Promote internally cyber security and data privacy practices

RESPECT OUR MARINAS’ NEIGHBOURS AND COMMUNITIES

Being a well-respected community neighbour is fundamental to our business ethos. When we work together and treat each other the same way as we would like to be treated ourselves – the world becomes a better place for everyone. 

Our programs include: 

  • Donations and sponsorships to local communities;
  • First aid and a series of HSE trainings on annual basis;
  • Young trainees from maritime / tourism schools
