At D-Marin, we are committed to promoting environmental sustainability through significant investment in clean energy programmes across our network of marinas. Our ambition is to transition to more renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, reducing our dependence on conventional fossil fuels. Through a combination of investment, innovation and collaboration, we aim to make our marinas cleaner and more energy efficient.

Using renewable energy

A core part of our clean energy strategy is investment in renewable energy sources, particularly solar power. We are upgrading equipment at our marinas, including installing smart poles and solar power systems, to reduce energy consumption and support cleaner operations. By harnessing the power of the sun, we are significantly reducing our carbon footprint and creating more sustainable infrastructure.

Electric transport for greener operations

In addition to renewable energy, D-Marin is introducing electric vehicles into its business. From electric cars and scooters to bicycles, we are adopting cleaner transport solutions to reduce emissions at our marinas. Switching to electric vehicles not only minimises our environmental impact, but also increases the overall environmental friendliness of our facilities.

Monitoring and reducing carbon emissions

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we conscientiously calculate our carbon footprint in all three scopes - direct emissions, indirect emissions from purchased energy and other indirect emissions. This detailed monitoring allows us to identify areas for improvement and set specific targets for emission reductions. Our compliance with the Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative further reinforces our goal of significantly reducing emissions in line with global climate targets.
