"I Protect the Seas with STEAM" project will start on August 31st.
By providing STEAM education, D-Marin & TURMEPA aim to strengthen children’s ties with the sea and combine its environmental projects with the technology. The project, which will be carried out in cooperation with the Muğla Provincial Directorate of National Education, aims to contribute to the children to think like a scientist and to produce new ideas and projects by shedding light on their approach to nature with the support of teachers.
"Seas are Our Future!"
The goal of the project is to enable children to learn to love, to embrace not only nature but all living creatures, and to produce new ideas and projects by thinking like a scientist.
In the sixth year of the project carried out with teachers selected in Muğla, where D-Marin Turgutreis and Göcek marinas are located, 14 teachers from 14 schools will meet with sea and STEAM trainings. BenMaker will organize trainings on STEAM under the titles of Innovation, 3D Design, Manufacturing Skills Workshop, Robotics-Coding and Design Marathon for 5 days during the trainings to be held between 31 August and 4 September.
Students of relevant schools will learn to develop creative and rational thinking, questioning, solution-oriented, exploring and sharing skills through their teachers. The children, who will present their ideas to keep the seas clean with their project they will prepare, will first investigate the problems in the seas and question the negative effects of these problems on the entire ecosystem, especially on marine life.
